Tourism – Things To Do In Latin America

How on earth are you supposed to write about things to do in Latin America, I mean, not in a few simple paragraphs anyway. Latin America is packed with exciting things to see and do, and to be honest, it’s gonna’ take some sorting out which to include and which to leave out. Anyway, this is only really supposed to be a snapshot, so here goes.
Snapshot of Must Do Things To Do in Latin America
Latin America is a big place, covering almost 4% of the worlds surface, but that isn’t what you want to know is it (I’m just giving you an idea of the scale of this thing, there are more than 590 million people living in Latin America, so naturally, with such a large area and a large number of different countries there’s bound to be lots of diverse stuff to see and do in Latin America). Right, how should I organize this thing? I know, I’ll just go right in with a few of the most popular places to visit in Latin America.
- Take in the breathtaking views over Rio - Rio has to have one of the most instantly recognizable landmarks in the world, and if you’re in the area then it’s a definite thing to do in Latin America. Why not ride a cable car right to the top of the Sugar Loaf Mountain . . . the views are absolutely incredible.
- Visit the famous Inca ruins at Machu Picchuin Peru, definitely one of the most interesting and awe inspiring wonders of the world.

- You can always book a place on a tour to Machu Picchu, or for the more adventurous and energetic amongst you, why not hike the Inca trail through the Urubamba Valley to Machu Picchu. It’s a pretty incredible and totally unforgettable experience.
- Take in a tour of the Argentinian countryside, visit a ranch and enjoy a traditional barbecue feast, do a little horseback riding or watch the experts in a horseback riding show. Whatever you decide, a trip to an estancia (ranch) is certainly something to do in Latin America.
- Tour a rain forest in Latin America. Rain forests are the lungs of the world, but unfortunately they’re disappearing at an alarming rate, the consequences of which are pretty devastating to say the least. An excursion into this tropical environment is a great thing to do in Latin America.
- Latin America has its share of volcanoes, and one of the best places to experience this type natural phenomenon is in Costa Rica, in particular the Arenal Volcano . . . take a soak in the vitalizing hot springs and mineral pools.
- Watch a Tango show in Buenos Aires, the home of the tango, you can even learn how to dance the tango yourself. Now come on, don’t be shy, anybody can do it with just a little practice.
- Visit Lima, the City of Kings. Lima is jam packed with history, culture and wonderment, so if you’re looking for some great things to do in Peru, make sure that a visit to Lima is high up on your list, it’s a really fascinating place.
