There are so many great things to see and do in Buenos Aires, Argentina, that you’ll be hard pushed to know where to start. Buenos Aires Nightlife
Nightlife in Buenos Aires means really one thing . . . tango! There are loads of great dinner shows where you can see polished performances by professional dancers, and very often you’ll even be able to learn a few steps yourself. You really can’t visit Buenos Aires without learning at least a few steps of the tango . . . can you? Go on, be a devil, nobody is watching!
You see, they’re at it everywhere in Buenos Aires, they even tango in the street . . . which is just great for visitors.
Buenos Aires Museums
Buenos Aires has some very unique and interesting museums which often celebrate famous Argentinians.
- Car Racing Sanctuary – a visit to The Juan Manuel Fangio Car Racing Museum is a must for all motor sport fanatics and petrol heads the world over, celebrating the amazing quintuple F1 world champion . . . with more than 50 cars on display.
- The Pampas Museum – on the other hand, is in honor of things which live at a much gentler and more natural pace . . . the countryside.
- The World Tango Museum – well, where else would you expect to find it, other than in in Buenos Aires.
- The Museum of Weapons – boasts the largest display of weapons in the whole of South America. Certainly worth taking a look if you have the time.
- National Museum of Fine Arts – one of the oldest, and certainly one of the most respected attractions in the city of Buenos Aires.
- Municipal Palace & House of Culture – there are loads of things to see in these two public buildings.

La Boca, Buenos Aires
This is one very popular place with tourists, and when you get there you’ll know why. La Boca (meaning mouth – mouth of the river) has brightly colored buildings and a famous caricature of one of the most famous Argentinians – Eva Peron . . . “Don’t cry for me Argentina . . . . ”
It’s certainly unlike anywhere else on earth, well, anywhere that I’ve been to anyway.
Buenos Aires Cathedrals
There are lots of fantastic cathedrals, churches and other religious places of interest in Buenos Aires, but one of the most popular is the Cathedral on Av. Rivadavia and San Martin. Built in the XVIII century, this neoclassic cathedral is the resting place of the ashes of Liberator General Jose de San Martin. One of the most important people in the history of Argentina, he led many battles against the Spanish which eventually resulted in independence for Argentina – quite the hero really.
Buenos Aires Zoo
Every great city is home to a great zoo, and Buenos Aires is a great city . . . so guess what . . . yep, Buenos Aires has a great zoo, a fantastic place for the whole family to enjoy, meet the animals, learn a little about the animals and conservation and generally have fun. A trip to the zoo at Buenos Aires really is a brilliant day out.
