Travel Tips & Tricks
Getting A Long Way For Your Cash
Fancy getting away from it all for a while, but finding yourself a little bit short on cash? That doesn’t necessarily have to put a stop to your vacation plans, there are ways and means of getting further for your money, if you just know where to look and how to go about it.
The Secrets of Finding Cheap Fares
Travel, probably more than any other industry is ruled by supply and demand, and the prices really do reflect on that. One travel trick is to fly when nobody else wants to . . . . flights on Friday 13th often have plenty of vacancies (and hence cheap prices), wonder why that is?
Other times when people generally don’t want to fly (and hence the less fussy ones can get a really good deal) are Christmas Day (not Christmas Eve, but Christmas Day), and New Years Eve . . . especially if you’re flying long haul over lots of time zones and aren’t too worried about missing out on the “celebrations” at all.
Old neighbors of mine (I mean, from a long time ago, not that they were extremely elderly), anyway, they had a particularly upsetting Christmas one year and looked forward to Christmas in the future a bit like a turkey looks forward to Thanksgiving . . . so they hatched a cunning plan and enjoyed a cheap vacation . . . every year for the next 4 years. Now, Christmas vacations are popular, don’t get me wrong, but not that many people are happy to fly over the Atlantic ocean on Christmas Day, and fly back late on New Years Eve . . . you get my drift – cheap tickets galore meaning that they could have an affordable vacation and not have to re-live the memories of “Christmas past” in the same old way.
These cheap deals and travel tips & tricks don’t only apply to flights either, there are ways and means of getting cheap;
- Plane travel
- Train travel
- Cruises
- Timeshares
if you just know how to go about it.
