Discount Travel Insurance

Discount Travel Insurance

Many people travel much more frequently these days than they ever used to, of course, I’m not talking about the Founding Fathers and the Irish coming over to escape the potato famine, I’m talking about vacations, as well as work related travel. The world is getting smaller, which means that we can get to wherever we want to be much faster, but what about travel insurance – it’s just as important today as it’s ever been, in fact, it may be even more important.

Discount Travel Insurance

The thing about travel insurance is that it doesn’t have to cost a lot, you can get great discount travel insurance deals from your travel agent, insurance broker, good grief, even some banks are trying to get in on the act – so, why should you bother?

  • Well, scenario number one, imagine that you’ve been saving for ages for a “once in a lifetime trip” and, just before you’re about to go, you or a member of your party are taken ill and the whole thing has to be cancelled! Bummer eh? Especially if you don’t have any insurance so that you can take the trip at another time.
  • What about this, imagine that you’re all feeling quite well and you set off from home, bags packed, sucky sweets for the plane journey, and when you arrive at the airport there are delays – strikes, volcanic ash clouds, breakdowns, – they do happen for all sorts of reasons. What if your holiday is cancelled altogether?
  • What would happen if you did manage to make it to your vacation destination, but your luggage didn’t, can you really live in the same underwear for two whole weeks?
  • If you or a member of your family were taken ill abroad, or, God forbid, died, you could end up in serious debt for many years to come, just by trying to pay the medical bills.
  • What if you got robbed, mugged, lost all of your money, your credit cards, your travelers checks? How would you manage then without insurance.

OK, I know you don’t really like to think about things going wrong, on the very couple of weeks which you’ve looked forward to for the best part of a year, but discount travel insurance can give you peace of mind – just in case.
